in order to determine if you have sufficient technical ability to use freemoneybot (fmb), we require you to download a small test script and install it on one of the servers you intend to use for your freemoneybot client sites.

this serves two purposes. First, it proves you know enough about FTP, and servers to be able to use a system such as fmb. Second, it tests your server to see if it is suitable for fmb clients.

step 1. create a domain or subdomain you intend to use for an fmb site.

step 2. open this text file in a new window:- fmb server test script in text format

step 3. copy the contents of the text file into a text editor, and save it as testserver.php . Upload it to the domain or subdomain you created in step 1 using an FTP client (note - use FTP, NOT any web-based file uploader:- the real client software you will be uploading when you are a member has DOZENS of files and folders, which is obviously unsuitable for uploading via a web browser).

step 4. run the script. It will test the ability of your site to make remote calls to the fmb server, and whether or not you can create files locally and modify your .htaccess file. BE AWARE - this script will overwrite your .htaccess file. if you don't understand what that means, you shouldn't be here.

if successful, the script will display an authorization code you will need later, so make a note of it!
